Toward His Smiling Face is the last in the Overview of Srimad-Bhagavatam series before we arrive at Canto Ten. Cantos Seven to Nine continue the journey toward “the smiling face of Krsna,” revealed in Sukadeva Gosvami’s pure-hearted account of Krsna as the fullest expression of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Like the Bhagavatam’s earlier cantos, these three cantos don’t simply fill space until we arrive at Canto Ten. Just as each of Krsna’s limbs has unique charm, so cantos Seven to Nine provide a rare glimpse into the hearts of exalted devotees and the Lord Himself, drawing us, like travelers coming home, to a face-to-face encounter with Sri Krsna, jewel of Vraja.
